JMH's digital mammography unit uses technology that directly converts x-rays into an image for radiologists to view by computer.  This technology drastically improves the sharpness of a mammogram.

Digital mammography offers improved visiblity of the breast, particularly near the skin line, the chest wall and in women with dense breast tissue.

Digital mammography images can be viewed in seconds allowing the mammographer to confirm proper positioning which reduces the likelihood of having to come back for additional images.
