Johnston Memorial Hospital is committed to providing continuing education opportunities for area physicians and physician extenders. Through a joint sponsorship between East Tennessee State University James H. Quillen College of Medicine and Mountain States Health Alliance, we offer two monthly CME events.
Physicians or others healthcare specialists present exciting lectures regarding a variety of progressive medical topics during our Grand Rounds meetings. They are currently held on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in JMH Conference Center.

Individual cancer case studies are discussed at our Cancer Conferences by a panel of medical professionals. These conferences are accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. They are offered on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, beginning at noon in JMH Conference Center.
Attendees at both events will receive one hour of Category 1 CME toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award.

CME Credit: The office of Continuing Medical Education designates this continuing medical education activity for a maximum of 1 hour Category 1 CME credit toward AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. One credit hour may be claimed for each hour of participation.
