Southwest Virginia Health Network was formed by Johnston Memorial Hospital and area physician practices in 1995. This Physician-Hospital organization (PHO) performs many important support functions for its members including:
- Contracting with over 20 payor entities
- Single source credentialing for all 20+ entities
- Educational seminars
- Assistance with payor problems and issues
- Sourcing of professional liability insurance quotes
- Representing member interests to payors and other entities
